With its hint of flowery notes, this tea balances Yunnan's malty character with the floral overtones of jasmine and Ceylon. Our Yunnan black tea is combined with a hint of the heady scent of jasmine, a historical specialty of the northern Fujian province since the Ming Dynasty. Here, the base tea is made from fresh leaves plucked during the spring season. After this has been done, it is kept in cool storage until the arrival of jasmine flowers in the summertime, used to scent the most delicate of teas.
Estate black tea, green tea, natural bergamot oil, jasmine.
Yunnan Black Teas are lush, thirst-quenching treats. Known to locals as dayeh, the leaves are a golden colour before and after brewing. As these teas are made from old-growth trees instead of bushes and are left to grow naturally in the jungle and forests, the leaves are generally large and intact even after being infused, creating a creamy and malty tea with almost no bite.
