Connoisseur grade, hand-rolled, jasmine white tea

BLEND NO. 3059

Jasmine blossoms are picked during the heat of the day, when the flowers are closed tight. The scenting is done in the cool of the evening when the blossoms open, releasing their intoxicating scent. The blossoms are heaped in piles next to the drying tealeaves, which absorb the fragrance of the jasmine. This process is repeated up to seven times for the most prized jasmine teas such as this Organic Jasmine Pearl. It is important to use fresh, cold water (use reverse osmosis, low mineral water) that has a high oxygen content with white teas - particularly teas of single estate varietal. Best drunk in the morning, when your palate is fresh.

Great tea, storage tin too big

The Jasmine Pearl White tea is great, exactly what I was hoping for. The storage tin could have been 1/2 the size and still fit the amount of tea it came with.

Best Loose Leaf tea

I really like the aroma of TeaLeaves Jasmine teas. Unlike other brands you can really taste and smell the jasmine. It’s soothing and satisfying to taste.

Organic Jasmine Pearl (OJP)

As a Chinese tea drinker living in Hong Kong, I have experience with many different teas available to me here. This is my first experience with Organic Jasmine Pearl (OJP), and my first tasting has given me a most positive experience. I like most the “mouth feel” of the tea, which is that of a green tea but much more tantalizing. Another good touch is the way the leaves come in a ball and unfurls I hot water, reminding me of several Chinese “flower” teas I’ve had where the dried flower opens up in hot water when brewing. Good job Tealeaves! Waiting to taste your Four Seasons Hong Kong Blend for a comparison.
