Chef Robert Allen Sulatycky is the founder and Principal Chef at Taste Restaurant Group, and the owner and proprietor of Robert Allen Wines, a boutique winery in Napa Valley. He began his culinary career in Canada, graduating at the top of his class at SAIT in Calgary. After discovering his affinity for international challenges, he was a contender at such events as the Culinary Olympics in Frankfurt, the Food and Hotel Asia competition in Singapore, and the International Culinary Arts Competition in Sapporo. He competed in the Bocuse d’Or in France in 1999 and placed fourth – still the highest-placing North American chef in the history of the event.

Chef Robert Allen has earned the AAA Five Diamond Award as the Executive Chef at the Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver, at Toronto’s Four Seasons Hotel, at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, and at the Beverly Hills Hotel. While at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, he was also proclaimed Chicago’s best chef by the iconic food critic for Esquire magazine, John Mariani.
