Originally from France, Richard Lanaud has nurtured his passion for wine and fine French cooking throughout his training and career.
After graduating from the Albert De Mun hotel school in Paris, Richard completed several internships in fine dining at such venues as Castel Marie-Louise, L´Hermitage, and le 6 New York in France, as well as at Michelin-starred restaurants Le Normandie and Les Magnolias in France.
Richard has received his French sommelier diploma with level 5 honors and completed an internship at Le Cinq, the famed Michelin star restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris.
Richard is particularly partial to red wines from the Bordeaux and Bourgogne regions, and is also a big fan of whiskey, sushi and French cooking.
Richard Lanaud continued his career with the Four Seasons family with some time spent at the Four Seasons Washington, the Four Seasons Toronto and most recently at the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora in the role of Assistant Restaurant Manager where he was recently promoted to the post of Restaurant and Bar Manager.
