Chef Nasser Jeffane is an international chef and is currently heading Café Calla at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva. Rising up in reputation as a former disciple of the renowned Thierry Marx, Chef Jeffane worked in various famous Michelin-starred restaurants and hotels, such as Le Pré Catelan and Hotel Lutetia in Paris, Chef Jeffane joined the Mandarin Oriental family for the first time in 2012.
After serving as Sous-Chef at the Michelin-starred restaurant Sur Mesure at Mandarin Oriental, Paris for two years, he joined Café Calla at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, which opened in June 2014. This new restaurant offers a relaxing and elegant atmosphere, featuring a modern French and health-conscious menu centered around regional products.
As somebody who dislikes coffee, Chef Jeffane’s favorite hot beverage is black tea. However, stemming from his Moroccan heritage, he also enjoys the refreshing taste of Moroccan mint tea with sugar and milk. Chef Jeffane also enjoys creating dishes that incorporate tea often, especially during the winter.
