He was born in the American Midwest and grew up in Iowa. After graduating from the University of Iowa, he immediately moved to Tokyo, Japan to discover the world. While there, Brent Smith met the man who had the license for distributing Cuban tobacco in Japan. Smith ran his tiny cigar store and the rest is history. Being exposed to cigars, the best wines and spirits naturally led to meeting Japan's most influential people in business and the arts. That's where he got his "MBA" in living the good life and it has never slowed down.
