This golden-leaf tea is known as the mocha of teas due to its enchanting aroma with an underlying hint of chocolate.

Yunnan is known for its thousands of years of history. As you feast your eyes at the lushes tea foliage surrounded by misty mountains and beautiful rivers, your spirit lifts. You gaze onto the three ancient tea trees, enveloped by spiritual calm.

Tea has been harvested in the Yunnan province since the 2nd century, and the tea plant is generally thought to be indigenous to the region. The two main growing regions of the Yunnan province are the prefectures of Xishauangbanna in the south, and Simao in the north.

Modern Yunnan teas are grown from a strain of an ancient broad-leafed tea tree. There are many ancient tea trees still standing, including one near the China-Burma border that stands over 100 feet tall, and is thought to be over 1700 years old.
