

One art forever to be linked with the American South is the strong yet delicate tradition of barbecue smokehouses. In the Pacific Northwest, a region far removed, we have perfected a different tradition of smoking – infusing our Yunnan with the smoked flavours of cherry wood and alder wood. Old values, new traditions.
This black tea with tremendous palate interest is hand-smoked in small (1 kg) batches in Vancouver. Our Master Blender takes a tippy golden Yunnan mixed with trace amounts of bright Keemun Yin Hao (highest grade) and meticulously smokes it with cherry wood and local alder wood, before mixing with first press natural oil of bergamot.
