FRENCH NAME JASMIN À L'EMPEREUR
BLEND NO. 3055
Scented seven times in the Imperial tradition, this tea, with its delicate cup, pale celadon liquor and outstanding palate, is ideal for the discerning jasmine connoisseur. With its white tea character, oversteeping (3 to 5 minutes) is acceptable. Let life's worries float away on the delicate aroma of golden Jasmine blossoms! LOOSE TEALEAVES
This premiere grade of jasmine, comprised entirely of handpicked top leaves and buds, is covered with silvery white down. Its composition is both white and light green leaves with exquisite subtle cup. Jasmine blossoms are picked during the heat of the day, when the flowers are closed tight. The scenting is done in the cool of the evening when the blossoms open, releasing their intoxicating scent. The blossoms are heaped in piles next to the drying tealeaves, which absorb the fragrance of the jasmine. This is repeated up to seven times for the most prized Jasmine teas.
