The concept for the Four Seasons blends came about when, over a decade ago, we became the tea program provider to Four Seasons properties in Vancouver, Toronto, and New York (today we work with over twenty-five of the Four Seasons properties world-wide).
There are three elements, or properties, that our blenders worked with to capture the essence of the four seasons:
– green, rebirth, renewal
– fruit, memories of childhood play on long summer days
– oolong and green teas, invigorating and stimulating
– black teas, warming and contemplative
Like a painter approaching his canvas, the TEALEAVES Tea Master approaches a new blend equipped with a palate of flavours and aromas. Deftly layering flavours, he creates teas with exceptional complexity and meaning, capturing the inspiration for the blend. An uncompromising craftsman, he will not accept mediocrity, choosing to destroy blends he is not happy with rather than let them pass another’s lips.
